Last week I made a trip out to the “Last Frontier”. Bounded by infinite miles of lush green trees, enveloped by snaking glistening lakes, and protected by jagged towers of mountains, the state of Alaska is truly nature at its finest. Most people overlook the allure of Alaskan travel during the fall. But with minimal crowds and fall foliage spectaculars, it was to me the perfect time for such a get-away.
One afternoon I made my way down to the Alaskan dog sled training grounds. One of the trainers mentioned “Skifior”. It is a Norwegian word and it means doing what you love passionately. These Alaskan dogs run many miles through treacherous snow-covered terrains because they truly loved every minute of it. It made me reflect. What is my Skifior?
